Description:

The Access Clinic serves uninsured Milwaukee County residents based on a sliding fee scale.  No patients will be denied services due to inability to pay.  Persons with insurance should consult with their insurance provider and/or primary care physician.

Clinic services include:  psychiatric assessment, medication evaluation, brief crisis counseling and/or referrals to appropriate outpatient clinics and community programs. Individuals needing ongoing outpatient care for medication therapy or psychotherapy are given appointments at one of the contracted outpatient mental health clinics for follow-up care.

The clinic hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. No appointments. New patients should arrive by 2 PM and are seen in the order of their arrival. Be advised, the clinic is typically busy so there may be a significant wait time.  (Operated by the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division) Proof of Milwaukee County residency is required.
