DV Program Name: Our Peaceful Home, MMWC. Program Description: Our Peaceful Home, MMWC is a culturally specific comprehensive & holistic family peace program addressing victims of domestic violence. This program serves Muslim families, refugees, immigrant communities and their children, as well as the wider Wisconsin community. Multilingual and multicultural advocacy services in Arabic, Urdu, Malay, Rohingya, Burmese, Somali and Spanish and others upon request. Our program aims to empower individuals and their families to live a safe and peaceful life. Services included: Culturally appropriate safety plans, Emergency transportation, Emergency short term shelter, Support groups for survivors, Support in navigating systems and options, Assistance with restraining orders, Referrals to/co-advocacy with other agencies for services, Cultural specific educational programs to strengthen families, Parenting Workshops, Culturally informed presentations, workshops & webinars to all, DV providers including shelters and law enforcement.
