Support groups provide families and care partners the opportunity to explore feelings and share solutions to the challenges posed by dementia. Early Stage support groups are offered for Individuals who have been diagnosed with early stage Alzheimer's or another form of dementia. Offers a variety of ongoing educational opportunities (seminars, workshops, in-service trainings, conferences) targeted to specific audiences as well as customized speaking engagements upon request. ResourceCenter houses a collection of books, publications and videos on Alzheimer's disease, related disorders, and caregiving strategies. Materials are available for loan. 24-hour Information and Referral Helpline provides emotional support as well as information about Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. Common topics include: concerns regarding memory loss; assessment; diagnosis and treatment; coping with changes and planning for future care needs; respite option; facility placement; and end-of-life care.

Helpline counselors are available to provide assistance to Wisconsin Medicare beneficiaries (including those under age 65 and receive Medicare coverage due to a disability) regarding prescription drug benefits. Offers public education concerning choices and options in prescription drug coverage under Medicare, SeniorCare, and other prescription drug benefits.

A free resource center that helps family caregivers of older adults (age 60 plus) and professionals who assist caregivers. The Network helps caregivers sort through their personal and older adult care options and provides comprehensive, unbiased resource information. FCSN also helps older adult relatives (age 60 plus) who care for minor children 18 and under.

Confers with the older adult, significant others or professionals to help individuals cope with the mental health problems of the aging. Services provided by telephone conference and/or in-home assessment by a Geriatric Psychiatric Registered Nurse on issues including depression; dementia; paranoia; and anxiety that may be complicated by a variety of medical and social problems of the aging person. Provides referrals to a broad range of medical, social services and mental health providers. 24-hour crisis line.
