Pocket Card Developed for Mental Health Professionals
The Suicide Assessment Five-step Evaluation and Triage (SAFE-T) Card guides clinicians through five steps which address the patient's level of suicide risk and suggest appropriate interventions. The SAFE-T Card, a 6x7, 2-sided folded pocket card, is intended to provide an accessible and portable resource to the professional whose clinical practice includes suicide assessment. Teen Suicide Fact Sheet 2006
"After an Attempt" brochures re-issued. The series of psycho-educational booklets for suicide attempt survivors, their families, and emergency department staff that was originally developed by NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and SPRC are now available in PDF format from the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.Printed copies can be ordered through SAMHSA's Mental Health Information Center.
 
SPRC releases "Practices in Suicide Prevention," a collection of fact sheets describing many of the well known suicide prevention practices, including summaries of evaluation and design and outcomes when available.The Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC) Releases the Suicide Awareness Event Resource Kit.
 
The Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC) has released a two-page guide for reporters and editors, titled At-a-Glance: Safe Reporting on Suicide. This publication provides a list of recommendations on how to report on suicide while minimizing the risk of suicide contagion among vulnerable readers. The guide also offers up-to-date information on crisis lines, local suicide prevention initiatives and contacts, and websites that provide warning signs and risk factors.
