The issues faced by people living with a diagnosis of mental illness are many and complex. The issues service providers face when confronted with a person diagnosed with mental illness who is in crisis are just as complex, especially if it is not a part of the training and education background of the provider.
NAMI Greater Milwaukee is proud to offer the Crisis Intervention Partner (CIP) education workshop to address this need. Based on the success of the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) model of training for patrol officers in law enforcement, this three-day workshop is targeted to meet the needs of personnel working within corrections, residential, vocational, medical and first-responder settings.
